Cocktail Confessions with Paul Hyde, Hyde Development

What advice have you been that has proven most valuable in your career?
Follow your heart.  I left a good job as an attorney to start a real estate development company with my dad yet I had no prior real estate experience or even a class! Our company Real Estate Recycling was a successful developer, owner and manager for 16 years until we sold our portfolio in 2012. I followed my heart again to start Hyde Development with my dad in 2012. It takes courage to follow your heart; it has not always been easy but has led to many wonderful experiences, memories and people.

What habits have you formed that keep you energized and on top of your game?
Hard work and attention to detail as well as partnering with the best and the brightest contractors, architects, brokers, lenders, attorneys, engineers and accountants.

What summer pastime are you excited to participate in this season?
Being with my 8-year-old daughter, golf, Minnesota Twins Games and winning Tilt the Kilt Lawn Bowling this year.

The Confession:  What choice of refreshment will you have at your next Happy Hour?
I am a big fan of the American Lagers, particularly Coors Light and Miller Light.
