Know Your Committees: Membership

March 14, 2014 at 10:48 am

What Does The Membership Committee Do?
Retain, recruit and engage! The Membership Committee strives to retain existing NAIOP members, recruit new members, and motivate members to become engaged. The Committee encourages members to participate in at least three NAIOP-hosted events annually. Its sentiment is that you get out what you put into your NAIOP membership.

Where/When Does It Meet?
Regular meetings occur the third Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in NAIOP’s Minnesota Office in St. Louis Park. Contact Committee Chair Brenda Studt or (612) 353-3319.

Why Get Involved?
The Membership Committee provides a unique opportunity to make & enhance industry connections. Its members are NAIOP Minnesota’s Membership Ambassadors. The committee assists existing members in obtaining the most from their membership as it relates to what they want to learn, how they want to help and who they want to meet.  In addition, the committee’s recruitment efforts reach out to community leaders. The committee also sponsors three Explore NAIOP luncheon events for new or prospective members.  At these lunches, NAIOP Minnesota leaders share the NAIOP story and present information about what NAIOP does and how to become involved. The lunches are an excellent platform for new and prospective members, commercial real estate colleagues, and NAIOP Minnesota leadership, staff and volunteers.

Upcoming Events
If you’re a new or prospective member interested in attending Explore NAIOP , the next lunch is coming up on Thursday, July 24. The event is hosted over lunch and lasts just one hour. Event details will  be available at www.naiopmn.org.
