Chris grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and graduated from Park High School in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 2004 majoring in Urban Studies. During his last year of study he interned with the City of Newport, Minnesota and after graduating was hired on full time as the Zoning and Planning Official.

Newport is a small town nestled between the Mississippi River and Cottage Grove/Woodbury in the southeast suburbs. Due to this fact, Chris found himself wearing many hats. He had the opportunity to touch on all aspects of municipal government including: public works, administration, and public safety. Significant projects Chris worked on included: the I-494/Hwy 61 Reconstruction Project, 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update, and the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program.

By 2008 Chris was responsible for all Zoning & Planning activities and inquiries in the city. In August 2008 he decided it was time to go back to school to pursue an MBA full-time at the University of St. Thomas. During the program’s summer break in 2009 Chris moved to Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain and worked for Star International Real Estate, a niche residential brokerage company. It was an amazing experience, both personally and professionally. Then, after graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 2010 Chris took an internship with the McDonald’s Midwest Real Estate Development Team where he assisted with the development of new restaurants, re-builds, and relocations.

In December 2010 Chris was hired on by the Northeast Industrial Brokerage Team at Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq. Chris focuses on leasing, property sales, tenant representation, and buyer representation for industrial owners and companies in the north and northeast areas of the Twin Cities.

Chris is an active member of the NAIOP Developing Leaders Committee.

Chris loves spending time with his family and friends. Travelling and the outdoors is in his blood. He also enjoys conerts, playing the guitar, and team sports.
