Member Profile: Chris Weirens
Chris grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and graduated from Park High School in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 2004 majoring in Urban Studies. During his last year of study he interned with the City of Newport, Minnesota and after graduating was hired on full time as the Zoning and Planning Official. (more…)
Member Profile: Ross Hedlund
Ross Hedlund grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota and graduated from Osseo Senior High in 2003. After graduation, he deployed to northern Iraq as a Forward Observer for Field Artillery, calling in artillery and air-strikes near Basra, Iraq. Getting to play in the dirt and blow things up, it was any 18-year-old boy’s dream.
Coming back from deployment, the military offered to pay for college and so he decided to attend the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Having no idea what he wanted to do, he made the rounds and interviewed at dozens of companies, did some internships, and otherwise went through the motions of the usual career-preparation items that go along with college. Nothing really excited him too much. Not until his fourth year at college when he took a business plan class, did he discover commercial real estate. (more…)
Westwood Renewables awarded Minnesota’s largest solar project
Westwood Renewables, LLC will begin construction this month on Minnesota’s largest PV solar farm to date. The 400 kW Saint John’s Solar Farm will be constructed on site at Saint John’s Abbey and University in Collegeville, Minnesota and is four times larger than the current largest system in Minnesota. Adolfson & Peterson Works Two Million Consecutive Man Hours with No Lost Time Accidents
Adolfson & Peterson Construction’s (A&P) Midwest region recently surpassed a major construction milestone, working more than two million hours with no lost time accidents.
