Larry Pobuda to be sworn in as NAIOP National Chairman

Larry Pobuda, co-founder of Bloomington-based Stewart Lawrence Group and long-standing member of NAIOP Minnesota, will be sworn in tomorrow as NAIOP’s national chairman. His term will officially begin on January 1, 2010.

NAIOP Research Foundation Announces Appointment of Collin Barr, Ryan Companies US Inc., as Governor

The NAIOP Research Foundation recently announced the appointment of Collin Barr as one of the Foundation’s 35 Governors.

Barr is president, Minnesota Region, of Ryan Companies US, Inc., located in Minneapolis. In this role, he provides executive leadership to the Minnesota Regional office, encompassing the disciplines of development, architecture and engineering, construction and property management. A member of NAIOP since 1997, he is also a member of the Build to Suit Forum.
The mission of the NAIOP Research Foundation is to foster building better communities through practical research and education that advances the quality and makes evident the benefits of commercial real estate ownership and development. Individuals who make a substantial contribution to the endowment fund of the NAIOP Research Foundation are invited to accept the lifetime distinction of Governor. Governors are eligible to serve as Foundation Trustees and help shape the Foundation’s future research agenda. (more…)

Colliers volunteers for Hearts & Hammers

Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (Colliers), along with partners from Peoples Electric and KONE, joined more than 1,000 other volunteers to provide exterior home improvements to one of 25 deserving homeowners in the Twin Cities area.  Owners of the Colliers home, Paul and Liz Matton, have lived in their Minneapolis home for the past 40 years. The Mattons have five children and are both retired, however Paul keeps a part time janitorial job to keep him busy. (more…)
