Being the new kid can get you a lot of extra attention. The same is true for the new Minnesota Golden Gophers football venue, TCF Bank Stadium. As the first stadium built in the Big 10 Conference in over 50 years, the new pride of the University of Minnesota is drawing a lot of interest. On April 30, the Developing Leaders committee from NAIOP was given the chance to tour the site as it neared completion.
New Urbanism: Built To Last

I recently saw the following link from someone on Twitter, and decided to watch the video. The only description I was given was, “New Urbanism/Sustainable Building.”
After watching it I started thinking about how the issues of urban sprawl and sustainable building affect our lives. Or, maybe more appropriately, how important these practices will and need to be to our futures. (more…)
